A Day In September…(a flash poem of remembrance)
September 11, 2010
9-11
And still we weep,
We, who are all that’s left,
The mourners and the loved-ones,
Grieving and wondering,
Why?
What “cause” so “holy”,
Could justify that madness?
Wipe away lives of those,
We cared for…
It does not exist.
Not even in memory,
Which is all we have left of them.
Requiescat in Pace

Thank you, and thanks for visiting!
A very tragic incident it was. Very good poem, you bring out the sadness well. No one has a right to take so many lives, yet still they committed such a horrendous act. Thank you for sharing this.
Thank you.
Great tribute! And an AWFUL incident! Really makes you wonder “why?!?!?!?”
I can go on and on.. but we all share the same sentiment on this one…
Thanks for bring it out, Tim…
It’s quite horrible having to watch from across the Hudson, the 2 lasers staring out into the sky, where there could have been the 2 pillars that used to be..
A simple, “Amen,” Tim.
Thank you, Jean. It was a quick jotting down of thoughts, but I felt I should say something…
beautifully brought across the pain and sadness… liked the intensity..
Thank you, Olivia. I am so glad you appreciated it.
